Sharjah Golf & SC

Sharjah Golf & Shooting Club (SGSC) is a unique destination located just minutes from Dubai, offering a blend of golf and a wide range of recreational activities, including rifle shooting, paintball, and tennis. Established in 2005 under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, the club features a 9-hole, championship-standard golf course designed by Peter Harradine. The course is fully floodlit, allowing golfers to enjoy night play—a popular feature among members and guests. With five tee options on each hole, the par-72 layout can play anywhere from 5,576 to 7,164 yards, providing a fresh challenge every round. The course is characterised by wide fairways, large greens, water features, and undulating terrain, making it a rewarding test for golfers of all levels.

SGSC is known for its welcoming community atmosphere and active event calendar, hosting multiple events weekly. It has also hosted prestigious tournaments such as the Sharjah Senior Masters, part of the Legends Tour, highlighting the course’s reputation as a true test of golf. Recent improvements include a new fleet of GPS-enabled golf carts and a complete bunker renovation, enhancing both playability and aesthetics. The club is often described as a hidden gem, offering high standards and a strong sense of belonging for its core membership.
