We’re excited to announce the launch of the all-new Emirates Golf Society website, marking a significant update since the original site was built by Tim Collins in 2004. Nearly 21 years on, we've modernised your online experience, enhancing your interaction with society while preserving all the functionality you know and appreciate.

Thank you to everyone who attended the AGM and to those who sent in feedback and ideas. The minutes of the session are shared here:

The key items and changes are shared below:

  1. Annual Subscription Fee (Subs): This will increase from AED 250 to AED 300. The subscription period will change from 1-Apr - 31-Mar to 1-Sep - 31-Aug (your current subscription will now run until 31-Aug - 5 months free). Renewal fees are due in the month of September.
  2. Event Registration Priority: Subscription renewals received after the month of September will be subject to a lower registration priority for all sponsored events (below Associate Members). New members signing up after a sponsored event opens for registration will also be subject to this lower priority. Too many members only show up for our premium sponsored events and we must protect the priority of our regular members.
  3. Event Formats: A more sociable approach will be implemented, with more team events, more shotgun starts, a variety of on-course prizes, and F&B after most events.

Finally, we would like to extend our thanks to all Members and Sponsors who continue to make this Society what it is today. From a Committee perspective, we look forward to continue to enhance and develop the Society in 2023.

All the best

We were excited to have Boeing back as one of our key sponsors and, as in previous years, they were extremely generous and put on a great show. Hosted on the Earth course, the weather and conditions were sublime with some groups of players taking full advantage of them.

The format was a 4-man team event, with all net scores counting on par 5s, three scores counting on par 3s and two scores counting on par 3s. Dominic Breach, Shorty Callow, Kevin Howe and Ross Mackie took home the spoils with a combined score of 115 points, 2 points clear of their nearest rivals - Alex Robinson, Hasni Samad, Rosslee Wahid and Rob Tingle. In third place, a further four points adrift on 109 points were the team of Gareth Conley, Neil Lakhani, Mark Burtonwood and Richard Simpson. Nearest the pins were won by Craig Berry (4), Hannah Mannion (6), Tim Collins (17) and Dominic Breach (17). And finally, the 777 Boeing Prizes (three competitions of hole 7) were won by Alex Robinson (nearest to the pin in three shots), Longest putt (Stuart Dall) and Bastian Koster (straightest drive).

Many thanks again to Boeing for a wonderful day out!

Trump International hosted our annual Club Championships this year and due to several Tour players practising here during the week, the course was in stunning and "tour-like" conditions (tough pin placements and speedy greens). This didn\'t stop Seb Hall being crowned the overall Club Champion in a tightly contested match with all players struggling to overcome the difficult set-up. He won with a gross 29 points (78 equivalent) one point clear of second-placed Dominic Breach. The nett division was won by Dr Darryl Atkins scoring an impressive 37 points - his nearest rival, Justin Wee, was a further 4 points adrift.

Saturday\'s event at Ranches was a fun and sociable day, with a team of two scramble format and no less than eight on-course challenges. • Congratulations to the team of Anthony Bonfa & Jan Balt, who placed 1st with a net 66.1.
  • Just behind with a net 66.9 was the team of Craig Berry & Thomas Ferguson.
  • In third place was the team of Tim Harford & James Walters with a net score of 67.1.

Nearest the pin prizes were won by Dominic Breach (Hole 2), Mark Burtonwood (Hole 12) & Anthony Bonfa (Hole 17)

Longest putt prizes were won by Paul Gingell (Holes 5 & 8) & Anthony Bonfa (Hole 16)
