In terms of the format of the event:

\r\n\r\n

Firstly, there is an individual stableford - prizes are available for the top three as usual. Handicaps will be based on your Society or EGF (course) handicap, whichever is higher. We will be playing from the white/yellow tees.

\r\n\r\n

There are also two Captain\\\'s Challenges.

\r\n\r\n

Game 1: \\\"The Captains Balls\\\" - Each 4-ball will be given a coloured ball which they must use on a rotational basis hole by hole. E.g player 1 uses on hole 1, player 2 on hole 2, player 3 on hole 3, player 4 on hole 4 then player 1 on hole 5 etc.). Once the rotation is set you are not allowed to change the order. Each team member from the team which returns the ball (ie. doesnt lose it!) at the end of the round will be put into a prize draw for a free round of golf at Jumeirah Golf Estates worth Dhs 900!

\r\n\r\n

Game 2: \\\"Beat the Committee\\\" - Each player in the 4-ball teams has been automatically entered into this event by paying an additional fee of Dhs 20 in their entrance charge. If the 4-ball team\\\'s aggregate stableford score (all four scores added together) beat the Committee\\\'s four score tally, you double your money (therefore, each player will be given Dhs 40 by a Committee Member)! If you are equal or less then the Committee\\\'s score you lose the money... The Committee team comprises of Steve Allen, Paul Nightingale, Tim Collins and our ex-Captain, Iain Lachlan. Good luck!

\r\n\r\n

Note, you need to be present at the prize ceremony to claim any prizes and challenges.

We were excited to have Boeing back as one of our key sponsors and, as in previous years, they were extremely generous and put on a great show. Hosted on the Earth course, the weather and conditions were sublime with some groups of players taking full advantage of them.

The format was a 4-man team event, with all net scores counting on par 5s, three scores counting on par 3s and two scores counting on par 3s. Dominic Breach, Shorty Callow, Kevin Howe and Ross Mackie took home the spoils with a combined score of 115 points, 2 points clear of their nearest rivals - Alex Robinson, Hasni Samad, Rosslee Wahid and Rob Tingle. In third place, a further four points adrift on 109 points were the team of Gareth Conley, Neil Lakhani, Mark Burtonwood and Richard Simpson. Nearest the pins were won by Craig Berry (4), Hannah Mannion (6), Tim Collins (17) and Dominic Breach (17). And finally, the 777 Boeing Prizes (three competitions of hole 7) were won by Alex Robinson (nearest to the pin in three shots), Longest putt (Stuart Dall) and Bastian Koster (straightest drive).

Many thanks again to Boeing for a wonderful day out!

Trump International hosted our annual Club Championships this year and due to several Tour players practising here during the week, the course was in stunning and "tour-like" conditions (tough pin placements and speedy greens). This didn\'t stop Seb Hall being crowned the overall Club Champion in a tightly contested match with all players struggling to overcome the difficult set-up. He won with a gross 29 points (78 equivalent) one point clear of second-placed Dominic Breach. The nett division was won by Dr Darryl Atkins scoring an impressive 37 points - his nearest rival, Justin Wee, was a further 4 points adrift.
