Dear All,
\r\n\r\nThe 2013/14 season has now come to a close, with an always impressive Boeing Day being our last event of the season. To give you an indication of what we are proposing for next season, the calendar is shown below (these have been booked, but still subject to change at sponsors request):
\r\n\r\n- \r\n
- 25-Apr: EGS Day at Tower Links \r\n
- 17-May: EGS Day at The Els \r\n
- 07-Jun: Summer Series at the Ranches 01 \r\n
- 12-Jul: Summer Series at the Ranches 02 \r\n
- 23-Aug: Summer Series at the Ranches 03 \r\n
- 20-Sep: Summer Series at the Ranches 04 (Final) \r\n
- Aug/Sep: ASCA World Airline Tournament in Iceland \r\n
- 18-Oct: EGS Day at Jebel Ali or Sharjah \r\n
- 08-Nov: Airbus Day and Family BBQ at the Ranches \r\n
- 11-Dec: OnAir Day 01 at the Fire, JGE \r\n
- 16-Jan: OnAir Day 02 at the Earth, JGE \r\n
- 20-Feb: EKFC Club Championship at the Fire, JGE \r\n
- 13-Mar: Boeing Day at the Earth, JGE \r\n
As can be seen, we have reinstated a Summer Series event this year, primarily because we have been given an excellent rate at the Arabian Ranches during this period. We are also continuing our use of both the JGE courses for some of our large sponsored events - not only do we think they have two of the best courses in Dubai, they also allow for Shotgun starts and remain relatively good value compared to some others.
\r\n\r\nAs the new season is upon us, we are also collecting subs - these will remain the same at Dhs 250. Therefore, can you pay at your earliest convenience.
\r\n\r\nI also speak on behalf of all the Committee Members, that we have enjoyed serving and participating in what we believe is a great and thriving Society - many thanks for your continued patronage and participation.
\r\n\r\nKind Regards,
\r\nTim Collins
\r\n(On Behalf of the Committee)

Please note the following:
- Please bring cash to pay for the event on the day (cards will not be accepted).
- Teams have been balanced by handicaps, therefore consideration was not taken for preferred partnerships.
- The format is a 4-man team event - you will all play your own ball as though it is a stableford and the best three (of the four) NET scores will be counted on each hole. Therefore, if the three of the four best scores on a hole are NET pars, the team would score 6 points (2 points being contributed by each of the best three players). Can you ensure you score all players score and net stableford points on each hole to ensure the club can check at the end.
- Handicaps: Each player will get 3/4 of their EGF course handicap or Society handicap, whichever is lower. Therefore, if a player has a handicap of 18, they would get 14 shots (13.5 rounded up to 14). If a player has a handicap of 19, they would also get 14 shots (14.25 rounded down).
