The Airbus Day proved as popular as ever with a record number of people attending both the golf and the family BBQ in the evening and as usual there was plenty to play for during the day!
The Airbus event consisted of an individual stableford together with a “blind” pairs event - teams of two were randomly chosen at the prize giving. This year, the winner of the individual stableford and overall Airbus Champion was Ultan Kenny with 40 points. It was a closely fought battle though as Amaldev Abraham scored 39 (2nd), followed by Airbus’ Kevin Partridge on 38 points (3rd).
The blind pairs was won by Paul King and Roger Duthie who had a combined score of 75 points. Ultan Kenny and Kerry Ross were a close second with 74 points, two ahead of the team consisting of Dylan Mustard and Mazen Qursha (72 points). Fourth was won by Stephen Holl and Bernard Heng on 70 points.
Nearest-the-pins were won by Simon Chaffey (2nd), Bernard Heng (7th), Rosslee Wahid (12th) and Steve Allen (17th).

Erwan Testard retained the EKFC Club Championship trophy after a battling 77 (30 points) at the Dubai Creek Golf & Yacht on Saturday. In the net divison, a great score of 41 points by Andrew Walters significantly beat his nearest competitors, Craig McBride (3rd) and Ben Wilkins (2nd on count-back).
Nearest-the-pins were won by: Paul Nightingale (5th), Dylan Mustard (8th), Craig McBride (14th) and Frank Bishop (16th).
Many thanks, again, to Emirates Flight Catering who continue to sponsor our premier event.
