It was a good scoring day at Al Zorah this weekend with golfers making the most of the benign conditions (for summer, anyhow!).

Conleth Kelly came up on top with an impressive 41 points, one point clear from his nearest challenger - Shorty Callow. Shaun Wykes completed the podium places with 38 points.

Nearest the pins were won by: Luke Gregori (2),Wade Goss (5) and Paul Nightingale (15). All 17 players failed to hit the 17th green.

A strong weekday turnout of 18 players competed over a relaxed 9-holes on Sunday, followed by a sociable evening watching the final round of The Open.

Congratulations to the team of Martin Taylor & Shane Lowry who scored 15 points. They beat the second place team of Stephen Holl & Tony Finau on a countback (better personal round). Martin had the joint top individual score of 16 points, and his partner Shane shot +1.

Slightly cooler weather and a team format resulted in a high scoring day across the board at The Monty on Friday.
