Many congratulations to Rupendra Chhetri who took home the top prize at Al Hara Golf Club. Rupendra scored 35 points, 5 more than his nearest rivals, Rosslee Wahid (2nd on count-back) and Justin Spalding (3rd), who both scored 30 points. Tim Harford played the par 3\'s well - notching up two nearest the pins on holes 11 and 15. The other NTPs were won by James Skerritt (hole 4) and Leonard Thyagarajan (hole 7).

Kathryn Ferguson won this week\'s eevnt at Al Zorah with an impressive 38 points. She was 4 points clear of her nearest challenger - Shaun Wykes, who scored 34 points. Richard Skinner came in third on 32 points (on a count-back from Justin Spalding and Mark Vipond). Nearesrt-the-pins were won by Kathryn Ferguson (hole 6), Russ Saunders (hole 8) and Mazen Qursha (hole 18).

The Engineering team of Bernard Heng, Amaldev Abraham, Rosslee Wahid and Iqbal Ismail took the main prizes at this years Boeing Golf Day. They scored an impressive 86 points, one point better than the crew team consisting of Jacques Cloete, Didier Sandeers, Grant Kerr and Wayne Classen. In third place were Tim Harford, Stephen Holl, Nicolas Posada and Mazen Qursha on 83 points. Martin Mahoney, Henry Donohue, Mark Burtonwood and Matt Wilks took the last of the major prizes with 80 points.

Nearest the pins were won by Tim Collins (6th hole) and Bader Ahli (17th hole).

A big thank-you to Boeing for yet again hosting a fabulous event.

The draw for this week�s Boeing Golf Day at JGE (Earth) is shown below. It is a team event, with the best two stableford scores from the 4 players on each hole counting. Players should play from 3/4 handicap (if EGF, it should be course, otherwise use your Society handicap). All players need to contribute on at least 4 holes.

17 golfers from British Airways escaped the flooded UK courses to take part in the 2nd Emirates v British Airways golf challenge at Arabian ranches. The Friday fourballs gave EK a strong 5�1 lead with excellent performances from Tony Benecke and Steve Allen (8&6), Russ Saunders and Dominic Breach (5&3), and Brendan O�Connor and Martin Taylor (4&3).

\r\n

The Saturday Singles were again dominated by Emirates with 9 wins and 2 halves taking the final overall score to 15�5. Tony Benecke (6&4), Dominic Breach (6&5) and new boys Russ Saunders (5&4) and Won Ho Choi (6&5) finished with victories in both fourballs and singles.

\r\n

During the prizegiving lunch Jeff Brister (BA Captain) invited us for a return match in the summer and we look forward to seeing BA here again in November at the ASCA championships.
