\r\nThe inaugural Sabre Day at the Els Club proved to be a very popular day with all concerned. It was a \"blind\" pairs event - i.e. partners were randomly picked from a hat at the end of the event and both player scores added together. John McGuinness and Fabio Prestijacopo won the event with a combined total of 66 points, two points clear of the pairing of Rosslee Wahid and Roger Duthie. In third place were Amit Khandelwal and Francois Cognard on 64 points.
