We would like to ascertain interest for 2015’s ASCA Inter Airline event to be held in Dublin, Ireland. As per previous times, we will be subsidising two teams of six in the Men’s division and one Ladies team. It is a scratch event and thus priority will be given to the lowest handicap Members - only Emirates and dnata staff are eligible to play. The subsidy will consist of team clothes and a sub-load ticket to Dublin (tax to be borne by employee). Note, leave will have to be taken.
\r\n\r\nEmirates are the current Champions.

The draw for this week’s EGS event at Sadiyat in shown below - unfortunately we were not able to accommodate everybody as we only had 40 spaces.

There is also a “blind” pairs tournament - each player will be “paired” with a random professional currently playing in the Race-to-Dubai and their score on the day will be combined with yours. Our inaugural Transguard Golf Day at the Dubai Creek Golf & Yacht Club was an incredible success and one we hope to continue going forward.
Winners on the day was the combination of Paul Nightingale and Jon Amplett who scored an impressive 41 points (Paul shot a level par 72 personal best at DCGYC), which was always going to be very hard to beat! Three points further adrift was the team consisting of Geraint Isitt and Craig Williams who carded an excellent 38 points. Finally, Shorty Callow and Ben Wilkins took third with 37 points.
Nearest the pins were won by Tim Collins (5th), Jon Amplett (8th), Simon Hamblelton (14th) and Geraint Isitt (16th).
We would like to express our thanks to Transguard, our sponsors, who I am sure you all agree, put on a very special day for the Society.
Congratulations to Paul Nightingale who won the SGSC individual stableford - he shot 36 points. He was four ahead of his nearest rivals Peter Boylan and Shorty Callow who both shot 32 points, Peter claimed second due to a better vback-nine.
Nearest-the-pins were won by Paul King (3/12) and Anthony Gilliam (8/17).
The draw for Saturday’s inaugural Transguard Day is shown below. Please note that there is a buffet afterwards together with a prize giving - can we ask all players to stay for this please. Also, can you ensure that the pace of play is as required by Dubai Creek (no more than 4 hours 20 mins) - the lowest handicap in the group is responsible for maintaining this.
