Congratulations to Amaldev Abraham who was crowned 2013 OnAir Champion. Amaldav scored an impressive 39 points on Saturday\'s round on the Fire Course, Jumeirah Golf Estates which, when tallied to his earlier 37 points at the Earth course in January, contributed to an unbeatable 76 points overall. Two great rounds!

Amaldec, though he scored 39 points only came in third-placed on the day, however. The winner on countback from both Steve Allen (39 points, 19 on back 9) who placed second and Amaldev (39 points, 18 on back 9) was Anthony Gilliam (39 points, 20 on back 9). Douglas Cameron\'s score of 39 points should also be noted - though normally a winner on any other Society Day, he fell back to 4th placed based on the back 9 countbacks... Impressive scoring indeed!

Other winners on the Day were the NTP prizes on the par 3s: Madhu Ramaswamy (2nd), Tim Collins (8th), Bernard Heng (11th) and James Walters (14th).

Finally, we would like to thank Franck Michaud and Ian Dawkins from OnAir for their continued support of the Golf Society - the event has become one of the highlights of our calendar and one which all players look forward to.

Though a team event, there was an individual star of the Boeing Day - Craig McBride hauled in a lion\'s share of the prizes at Yas Links. Not only did his team win the Shamble event with 91 points, he personally also won Nearest-the-Pins on holes 4 and 13. His effort won him a Callaway X-Hot Driver (as the team prize), a dozen balls and a Nikon/Callaway rangefinder - well done Craig! His teammates must be thanking him as they shared the spoils at the top - these were were Franck Michaud, Rupendra Chetri and Jacques Cloetes and also collected Callaway X-Hot Drivers. The top-placed teams were all close - one point behind in second place were the team of Tim Collins, Kelly Johnston, Shorty Callow and Gavin Hitzeroth who were given Odyssey putters for their efforts. The team of Andrew Walters, Russ Saunders, Paul Stump and Neil Bishop came third on 89 points and won their Callaway X-Hot 3-woods on a count back. The fourth placed team of Rafael Giraldo, Stephen Holl, Don Ruhmann and our Captain, Steve Allen won Callaway X-Hot hybrids. To finish off, Erwan Testard (8th) and David Manners (17) won the other two Nearest-the-Pins. We should also say another big thank-you to Boeing who hosted us, provided amazing prizes and provided an excellent days golf and lunch at Yas Links.
